Stairlift Seatbelt Modification

I am requesting that the seatbelt on my stairlift be disabled or that a non-immobiliser seatbelt be fitted instead of the standard safety seatbelt.

I understand and acknowledge the following:

The seatbelt is a safety feature designed to prevent falls and injury during stairlift operation
By disabling or using a non-immobiliser seatbelt, the stairlift will be operable without the seatbelt being engaged
I must ensure that any non-immobiliser seatbelt is securely fastened before using the stairlift on every occasion
Where a non-immobiliser seatbelt is provided, the stairlift will be CE marked to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, but will not be compliant with EN81-40
I am responsible for ensuring the seatbelt is properly secured before each use
The company will not be held liable for any injury or accident resulting from the seatbelt being disabled or not properly fastened
