Class 2 Pavement/Boot Scooters 4MPH
Effortless Mobility for Everyday Tasks
Pavement scooters are great for short trips out and about for people looking to maintain or reclaim their independence. Whether you’re off to the shops, running errands or visiting friends, we are sure we have a scooter to meet your needs. With a maximum speed of 4mph, a pavement scooter will get you from A to B quickly, safely and comfortably. They often have comfortable, padded captain’s seats, with flip-up armrests and a swivel design that helps with transfers on and off the scooter. Pavement scooters cannot travel long distances on roads, but some models are fitted with suspension systems to reduce the force of impact as you travel over rough and uneven paths. They can be broken down into several parts to allow for easy transport in a car. With lower speeds than a Class 3 8MPH scooter and compact, narrow designs, they perform exceptionally well in busy areas like supermarkets and high streets. Pavement scooters can only be driven on pavements and footpaths.
Key Benefits:
- Enhanced Independence for Everyday Activities: Regain the freedom to navigate your local area with ease. Whether it’s a trip to the shops, visiting friends, or running errands, these scooters provide a safe and comfortable way to maintain your independence and stay connected with your community.
- Effortless Portability and Convenience: Designed to be lightweight and often foldable or easily dismantled (boot scooters), these 4MPH scooters offer convenient transportation. Whether you need to take it in your car for outings or simply store it easily at home, their compact design makes them a practical choice for various lifestyles.
- Safe and Comfortable Pavement Mobility: With a maximum speed of 4mph, these Class 2 scooters are specifically designed for safe use on pavements and footpaths. Many models feature comfortable seating, easy controls, and even suspension systems to ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride, allowing you to confidently navigate pedestrian areas.

Class 3 Scooters 8MPH
Enhanced Range and Speed for Mobility
8mph road-legal mobility scooters provide long-distance travel. Class 3 scooters comply with British Government requirements, featuring efficient braking systems, a maximum speed of 8mph, front and rear lights and reflectors, direction indicators, hazard warning lights, a horn and rear-view mirrors. They are very comfortable and can come with a hardshell cover to protect you from the elements. Some now even come with heated seats, Bluetooth speakers and charging points for mobile phones. They feature suspension systems to protect you from bumpy roads and have hard-wearing pneumatic tyres. Many 8mph mobility scooters include a high-low speed switch, which lets you effortlessly change from a pavement speed limit of 4mph to a road-legal speed of 8mph. They offer the longest travel range – some of our scooters can travel 30 miles on a single charge! As these mobility scooters can be driven on the road, they must be registered with the DVLA, a service our team can support you with. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we recommend you consider policies for any scooter to suit your needs, and there are several suppliers who can help with this.
